助焊剂分类是基于其活性和成分(它决定活性)。而助焊剂活性又是其除去表面污物有效性的指标。助焊剂通常分成无机酸、有机酸(OA)、天然松香与人造松香(免洗)。J-STD-004按字母从A到Y的顺序分类助焊剂(表一)。
